Create a profile that reflects who you are, what matters to you, and the connection you hope to find. Muskmint curates one Muse for you each day, guided by your profile and the boundaries you set. You express your interest privately, and when it is mutual, a conversation begins — without the pressure of endless swiping.
Muskmint is for adults 18 and over, so we ask for it to confirm that. Your date of birth is private and never shown to other users.
They are matching inputs: your gender and orientation, who you would like to meet, and how wide an age range feels right. They decide who can be introduced to you, and they are never shown publicly without your consent.
Your daily Muse is curated from those answers. A complete profile is also what makes you eligible for a Muse at all, so the sooner it is finished, the sooner the first one can be assigned.
Yes. Edit it from your profile page at any time. The change applies to the Muses curated from that point on.
Muses are curated once a day, at Mint Time. The countdown on every screen shows the next edition in your own time zone, and it shows where the day's run has got to.
It happens. A Muse is only assigned when both sides are eligible and both can pay for it, so some days end with nothing. Your daily Muse appears on your dashboard the moment it is assigned.
Accept the Muse when you are ready — there is no rush. You can also decline it, or simply let the day pass. A Muse is yours only once you have accepted it.
One. Never endless. That is the whole point: a considered choice rather than a feed.
Each Muse costs a set number of Mints, and the current price is shown in the Mints panel at the bottom of every screen. Your balance divided by that price, rounded down, is how many Muses it pays for — a balance short of one Muse is worth none.

Only when a Muse is really assigned to you, never when one is merely on offer. The charge and the assignment happen together, in one transaction, so you are never billed for a Muse that was not created. If your balance cannot cover a Muse, nothing is charged and the pair is skipped.
The Mints panel on every screen carries your balance and your recent Mint movements. Adjustments are recorded there too.
The Mints shortcut is marked while your balance does not cover the next Muse. Until it is topped up, no Muse can be assigned to you — and nothing is charged to you either.
Each day, eligible members are paired and ranked by compatibility, and the best available Muse is assigned. Eligibility, blocks and the recency window are applied first, so a Muse is always someone you could actually meet.
The first ten form your minimum personality profile and are required. The rest are optional: they add depth to your profile, and you can skip any of them at any time.
It records that you met the question and did not know the reference, which is different from leaving it blank. That keeps the match honest: the answer is known to be unknown rather than unanswered.
Yes. Revisit the personality questions at any time and update any answer.
A conversation opens once a Muse is accepted. Until then, your Muses live on the Muses screen and your conversations list stays empty.
Your date of birth, gender, orientation and preferences are private to you and used only for matching. They are never shown publicly without your consent.
The current release does not support display names, bios or photos. They are planned for a later phase.
